PLBC believes that a person must place their trust in Jesus Christ alone to be forgiven and go to heaven.
PLBC is an independent, fundamental Baptist church whose mission is to share the Gospel and help believers grow in their faith.
Jesus commanded that people who placed their faith in Him are to be baptized (Matthew 28:19-20).
Baptism in the Bible was done after a person placed their faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 8:36-37; 10:47; 16:31-33), which rules out the validity of infant baptism.
Baptism in the Bible was done by dunking a person in water. The Greek word for baptism means “to dip, to immerse.” It is an outward demonstration of the inward faith (Romans 6:3-4).
We believe the Bible clearly shows that a person who truly places their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation will never lose their salvation (Romans 8:29-30, et. al).
PLBC believes that tongues, healing and other miracle and sign spiritual gifts were given to the early church for the verification of the Gospel (1 Cor 14:22) but they ceased after the Gospel spread and as the New Testament was completed (1 Cor 13:8-12).
The Bible clearly calls homosexuality sin (Leviticus 20:13; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10), thus a choice not a genetic trait.
The Bible is also clear that God sees a child in the womb as a living person and should be treated as such with the right to life (Psalm 139:13; Jeremiah 1:5).
The worship service is Bible-based singing and messages to help the attendees worship God and understand His Word.
The preferred music of Park Lane Baptist Church are hymns and choruses sung in a way that helps the listener and singer learn more about God and to bring glory to him. Songs include old hymns as well as appropriate contemporary songs.
There is no dress code for attending Park Lane Baptist Church other than modesty. In the morning service, several of the men wear suits and ladies dresses but some wear jeans (modest shorts in summer) and a nice T-shirt or collared shirt. In the evening most don’t wear any formal wear. Our concern is the soul, not the outward appearance.
There is a mix of Bibles among the congregation. Pastor uses the New King James Bible to preach from but refers to other reliable translations when appropriate (KJV, NIV).
There are a number of ministries and opportunities at Park Lane Baptist Church. Check out our ministries. There are also a number of events and activities throughout the year. Check out our events.
Park Lane Baptist Church assists other ministries that are designed to assist the local church in a unique way that is not directly connected to a single local church. PLBC works with such ministries by supporting missionary agencies and missionaries. PLBC also supports and partners with Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp of Genoa, Nebraska.
