Park Lane Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental bible believing church associated with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC).  Originally operating out of the home of our founding pastor, we have progressed from a metal building to the current brick church, and have expanded into an adjacent house which provides both additional classrooms and a home away from home for missionaries visiting our area.

The Robert Paswaters and the John Swedbergs were the first members to become missionaries from our church. Our founding minister, Pastor and Mrs. Butler, went into Home Missions after leaving Park Lane.

Our goal has been to give 25% of our General Fund to Missions. From the beginning, missions has been strongly emphasized. We have given to Nebraska works at Tecumseh, Fullerton, Grand Island, Norfolk, Gretna, and Faith Baptist in Omaha. Our pastors encouraged us to support both Home Missions and Foreign Missions.

The Awana Club has been an important part of Park Lane Baptist Church for 34 years. Many youth have received Jesus Christ as Savior. Clubbers have grown spiritually by learning and applying God's Word. Leaders have grown through sharing their time and faith, while many contacts have been made into homes in our community. We now have Awana Leaders whom were once kids in our clubs, and former "clubbers" are now bringing their children.

We began our unique offering procedure in the earliest days of Park Lane. In our first building we had a plate set at the back of the church. We now use a box attached to the wall. The Lord has blessed us with pastors and people who believe in tithing. The Lord has provided for every need.  Often visitors are surprised to find a Baptist church that doesn't pass an offering plate, but the Lord has consistently impressed upon our members to tithe without being reminded by men.
