Park Lane Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental Bible believing church that fellowships with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC) and the Nebraska Association of Regular Baptist Churches (NARBC).

The church originally operated out of the home of our founding pastor, Ervin Butler.  It progressed from a metal building to the current brick building and has expanded to the adjacent house which provides both additional classrooms and a home away from home for missionaries visiting the area.

It is the mission of Park Lane Baptist Church to tell others about Christ, to minister to other people, to help others understand the Scriptures, and to encourage godly living.

Ministries Park Lane currently uses to fulfill its mission include:

Sundays 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM

The Worship services are designed to help you worship God through singing, testimonies, and the preaching of God's Word.  After attending, we hope you have learned more about God and felt encouraged and challenged to live a life pleasing to God.

Tuesdays 6:30 PM (K-6th grades); Thursdays 7:00 PM (7th-12th grades)

The AWANA Club (AWANA) has been an important part of Park Lane for many years resulting in many youth receiving Jesus Christ as their Savior.  Clubbers have grown spiritually by learning and applying god's Word.  Leaders have grown through sharing their time and faith, while many contacts have been made into homes n our community.  Now some of our AWANA leaders who were once kids in our clubs, and former "clubbers" are bringing their children.

Wednesdays 7:00 PM

The Mid-Week Service is a time when we study the Scriptures more deeply and take time to pray for church family, friends, missionaries, and fellow churches.

Other Ministries Include:

First Friday Affair - a ministry of fellowship for people over 55 years old

Women's Missionary Fellowship - a ministry to encourage and pray for missionaries

Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp (Whispering Cedars ) - located in Genoa, Nebraska ministers to all ages

Special events - such as banquets, special services, and outings

Some unique features of PLBC are its strong missions emphasis.  The church currently supports 24 foreign and home missionaries and agencies.  It has also contributed to church planting in Nebraska including Tecumseh, Fullerton, Grand Island, Norfolk, Gretna, and Faith Baptist in Omaha.  Another unique feature is that the tithes and offerings are not collected during the service.  Instead a box attached to the wall of the sanctuary and people place their offering envelopes in that box as they take opportunity.  this helps our visitors feel more comfortable and it is not a distraction to the service.
